- Salary Package: From $99,161 per annum (HEW Level 6) plus 17% employer’s superannuation contribution and annual leave
- Appointment Type: Full-time, fixed term appointment until July 2026
- Location: Macquarie Business School, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Academic Governance and Curriculum Officer to join our Faculty team. This role is critical to supporting the delivery of academic governance and curriculum management activities, ensuring alignment with University processes and enhancing the student and staff experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer academic governance and curriculum-related processes across the Faculty.
- Provide advice and recommendations to senior academic and professional staff on curriculum and governance matters.
- Support annual planning and coordination of governance activities, ensuring compliance with University requirements.
- Provide high-quality secretariat support for Faculty committees, including scheduling, preparing agendas and minutes, and managing follow-up actions.
- Liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders to implement curriculum changes and manage the annual curriculum cycle.
- Assist academic staff with developing, reviewing, and proofreading curriculum proposals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of governance and curriculum management processes.

Key Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or extensive experience in academic governance or curriculum management.
- Strong knowledge of University academic policies, with experience in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
- Proven experience providing secretariat support, including preparing agendas, minutes, reports, and following up on actions.
- Experience with complex scheduling, diary management, and annual planning cycles.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems.
- A strong customer service focus, professional standards, and commitment to EEO and WHS principles.
