"Academic Position in School of Internet of Things"

The School of Internet of Things at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is seeking innovative academics to engage in a new higher education model based on Syntegrative Education (SE). This model focuses on training syntegrative leaders with skills in Management, International perspective, Discipline-specific knowledge, and adaptability in Industry (MIDI).

Desirable Research Background: AI for IoT (including developing and managing AI platforms, integrating AI technologies, and system-level designing); IoT vehicle-to-everything (V2X); IoT Wireless Networking; IoT Embedded Systems; Industrial IoT and Mechatronics; IoT Wearable Technologies; IoT-enabled Information Systems; Socio-technical Studies of IoT Use and Acceptance; Management and Security of IoT Systems.

Responsibilities: Engage with innovative teaching and assessment approaches; supervise students; conduct industry-enhanced research; secure research grants; promote cross-disciplinary research; deliver and develop degree programs; contribute to teaching development; ensure inclusive learning; provide administrative support; and undertake other assigned tasks.

Essential Qualifications/Experiences: PhD in computer science, information science, electronics, networking, communications, systems engineering, or a related field; self-motivated for innovative teaching; familiar with research developments; strong communication skills; commitment to professional development; ability to work in English; and strong team spirit.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience: Track record of business engagement; university teaching experience; relevant industry experience; research experience with industry; experience in problem-based learning; and ability to work across disciplines.
