"Academic Success Coordinator - Nursing"

Job Summary

The Nursing Academic Success Coordinator reports to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs and works with faculty in assisting students to develop personal and academic skills necessary to successfully complete the Bachelor's degree nursing program and the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. The ASC provides personalized guidance and support to meet student needs through engagement, individualized success plans and supportive services aimed at helping students navigate academic challenges.

Responsibilities

1. Analysis and Reporting of Data - Assist in identifying student success and risk indicators for pre-program and student progression counseling. Prepares regular reports on student competency and success metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Works with faculty to interpret NCLEX-RN outcomes reports to identify trends and address gaps in the nursing curriculum. Monitors effectiveness of academic support initiatives and suggests data-driven revisions.
2. Progress Monitoring and Individualized Coaching - Collaborates with unit academic advisors to enhance student success through curricular and campus engagement to ensure a robust nursing pipeline. Works with students to identify strengths and areas for improvement, set goals, and develop personalized success care plans by offering guidance in learning and study strategies. Supports nursing faculty by developing and providing subject-specific mentoring and tutoring to nursing students, both individually and in group sessions.
3. Academic Resource Navigation - Guides students and faculty to appropriately use learning resources to support remediation and NCLEX preparation efforts. Based on data, guides students and faculty in utilizing nursing academic support services and products to assist students in achieving identified course and program outcomes. Refers students to appropriate university resources and monitors students' use of resources.
4. Professional Growth and Development - Support and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values while complying with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies. Demonstrates current, knowledge of academic support strategies and student coaching.

Preferred Experience
Previous experience in academic coaching, student advising, or related roles. Candidates must be proficient in a Windows-based computer environment and have knowledge of healthcare-related technology.

Proposed Salary

Commensurate with experience.
