Academic Writing Centre Administrator (0.6 FTE)

The Department of Culture, Communication and Media (CCM) is a department of IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society. It is committed to excellence in teaching, research and consultancy in the areas of: Media and Cultural Studies, Art, Design and Museology; Academic writing; English education: Applied Linguistics; Music Education; Multimodality studies; Learning with Digital Technologies.
The Academic Writing Centre (AWC) provides support for UCL Institute of Education (IOE) students in the form of workshops and short courses (face to face and online), one-to-one tutorials (face to face, and online), online discussion forums, and online resources. Sessions and resources are specifically designed to support postgraduate Academic Writing in Education studies.
The centre supports both home and international students, and also offers pre-sessional support to students who have yet to commence their study at the Institute.
We are looking to recruit an experienced and proactive professional to the Administrator and e-learning support role, within the AWC.
You will be expected to deliver a high quality service to students, colleagues and partners working in collaboration with academic and professional colleagues across all UCL IOE departments, with a particular focus on e-learning.
You will be pro-active in your work and demonstrate flexibility in working with a number of individuals and as part of a team. In addition, you will have experience of working in a busy office environment, with excellent administration skills, ideally within a Higher Education Institution.
