"Access Services Specialist, Evenings/Course Reserves"

Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for a full-time Access Services Specialist in University Libraries. Under supervision, the role supports the Access Services Department, oversees operations in the absence of the Coordinator, maintains building security, supervises student assistants, staffs service points, handles circulation and reference assistance, processes Interlibrary Loan and course reserves, and assists patrons with library resources.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and three years of library or customer service experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, academic library experience, and familiarity with library technologies.

Duties include emergency response, policy enforcement, fine collection, stack maintenance, and providing reference services. The position requires flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, with normal hours Sunday-Thursday 3:30pm to 12:00am.
