Rooted in a tradition of excellence and inspired by our Catholic character, Notre Dame is committed to fostering an environment of care that nurtures the whole person-mind, body, and spirit. Here, you will find a deep sense of belonging, a culture that prioritizes well-being, and the opportunity to grow your career while being a force for good in the world. Whether contributing to world-class research, shaping the student experience, or supporting the University's mission in other ways, you will be part of a dedicated team working to make a meaningful impact on campus and beyond. At Notre Dame, your work matters, and so do you!

Job Description

The University of Notre Dame seeks a collaborative, strategic, and values-driven Accessibility Program Director. In this highly visible role, you will lead institution-wide efforts to advance accessibility, equity, and compliance for faculty, staff, and students, helping ensure that access is not an accommodation afterthought, but a foundational part of how Notre Dame operates.

Reporting to the Director of Youth Protection, HR, and Equity Compliance, you will oversee the interactive process for employee accommodations, guide campus partners through complex ADA and Section 504 considerations, and coordinate accessibility initiatives that span physical spaces, digital environments, policies, and practices. You will also provide oversight of the University's Student Accessibility Grievance Procedure, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly, fairly, and with care.

This role blends technical expertise, relationship-building, and strategic leadership, offering the opportunity to influence institutional culture and decision-making at one of the nation's leading universities.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as Deputy ADA Coordinator, leading the faculty and staff accommodation process from intake through resolution
  • Advise employees, supervisors, HR partners, deans, and senior leaders on ADA compliance and inclusive practices
  • Develop and deliver training on workplace accessibility, disability inclusion, and supervisory responsibilities
  • Analyze trends in accommodation and grievance data to identify systemic opportunities for improvement
  • Coordinate campus-wide accessibility initiatives across academic, administrative, facilities, and technology partners
  • Contribute to accessibility policy development and long-term planning efforts
  • Oversee the Student Accessibility Grievance Procedure in collaboration with campus stakeholders
  • Promote accessibility as an expression of Notre Dame's Catholic mission and commitment to human dignity

Why Notre Dame

As Accessibility Program Director, you will work within a values-centered community that believes equity and inclusion are essential to academic excellence, ethical leadership, and institutional integrity. Notre Dame offers the rare opportunity to do meaningful, mission-driven work at scale, alongside colleagues who are committed to thoughtful collaboration and continuous improvement.
