Accountant 1
Job Summary
Provide accounting and business operations support for the Print Copy Services department; coordinate departmental billing for production and leased copier use; assist department staff with all financial reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Financial - Copy Charges and Production
Coordinate department billing for copy charges and production invoices; submit payment vouchers to Accounts Payable for copy click payments.
Financial - MFD Leasing
Coordinate department billing for multi-function device leases; create requisitions for all MFD leases; prepare monthly contract invoices, verify receipt of payments, and research/resolve discrepancies.
General Business Operations
Assist the department with various accounting functions including, but not limited to, preparation and reconciliation of accounting reports, sales tax reporting, database entries/maintenance, data validation, monthly departmental financial reports; assist with routing contracts, budget amendments, cost transfers, etc.
General Department Operations
Assist the department with daily operations including orders, service requests, and general information.
As Assigned
Perform special projects assigned by Department Manager and/or Division leadership. Other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance or related field
OR
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance or related field and three years of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality, detail-oriented; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/ M-F
Pay Band: 7
Salary: Minimum $20.29/hour
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.
If applicable for the specific position based on the duties: the candidate will also need to have a credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage.
Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.
For Faculty Hires: Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
