Accounts Receivable Sponsored Collections Intermediate Associate
Reporting to the Sponsored Supervisor, you will serve as an important member of the UM-SSC Accounts Receivable Team. You will be responsible for processing accounts receivable-related requests received from internal and external customers by the SSC and completing all associated tasks. You will support invoice payment status follow-up for sponsored projects.
Work Location: Because occasional on-site presence may be required, you are expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance to Ann Arbor. You are required to have a high-speed internet connection and a designated working space in your home. Equipment, including a laptop and monitors, will be provided for your use.

Review and interpret agreements to ensure disputed billings were completed in compliance with sponsor requirements. Maintain regular contact (by phone and email) with assigned customers. Manage customer correspondence to maintain account accuracy. Eagerness to research issues regarding payment status to provide accurate answers and resolution. Respond to payment status inquiries from internal and external customers. Apply sponsored research payments to the proper accounts per procedure. Keep research teams, internal partners (i.e., Sponsored Programs), and the Sponsored Supervisor informed about complications that may result in payment delays.
High School diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience providing customer service. Intermediate level proficiency with data entry and computer skills. 1+ years of experience with business software solutions.
