Position: Adjunct Assistant Professor, Sociology

Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No

Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: Teach college-level coursework in Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems and Sociology of Families. Collect and submit assessment data, as required by the department and the College. Must be available for in-person classes on weekdays at the main JCCC campus, in Overland Park, Kansas.

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Sociology or closely-related field.
• College-level teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in Sociology or closely-related field.
• Community College teaching experience.
