Job Description:

The English and Communications Department offers college-level composition and literature courses and college-preparatory reading and writing courses in the following formats: face-to-face, live online via Zoom, and asynchronous online. Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, participate in program evaluation, and maintain College and department standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

To teach college-level courses, graduation from an accredited institution with a master’s degree in field or a master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in field are required. To teach college-preparatory courses, graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in field or a bachelor’s degree and 18 undergraduate hours in field are required. Successful results of a criminal background check are also required.

Salary Range:

Adjunct Faculty shall be paid on an hourly basis according to degree level as follows:

• Bachelor's Degree: $31.00
• Master’s Degree: $34.00
• Doctorate: $37.00
