Position Summary

Located 45 minutes from the Nations Capital, nestled in a history-rich community of southern Maryland, The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) is a two-time Aspen Award-winning institution (top 15% of Community Colleges) with academic programs in over 100 disciplines. This is a pool for part-time faculty in the School of Professional and Technical Studies, Technology department.

CSM's technology departments Cybersecurity Program (a designated Center of Academic Excellence (CAE-C) by The National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity) and an educational partner with USCYBERCOM.

CSM is actively accepting applications for adjunct positions at all campus locations.

The college also has a significant need for passionate adjunct faculty excited to contribute to our Early College program. Students taking Early College classes are dually enrolled in their local high school while also completing courses at CSM towards a certificate or degree. Early College faculty teach face-to-face classes between the hours of 8:15 am and 2:00 pm, two to four days a week.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The School of School of Professional and Technical Studies, Technology Department, is looking for highly skilled individuals for adjunct teaching positions in the following areas: networking, Linux, digital forensics, ethical hacking/pentesting, Microsoft Server, python, java, cloud computing, hardware/software basics, and data science (MS Access, SQL, MS Project, Tableau, Jupyter).

Minimum Education and Training

Individuals applying for this position must have the following qualifications for all disciplines:

• Workforce experience
• Related certifications
• Bachelors degree (masters preferred)
• Some type of teaching or facilitator experience
