Job Description

Clinical instructors play a vital role in the education of our students, responsibilities include:

• Supervising care provided by a group of students (usually 6 students in a group) while they complete their clinical rotation.
• Coordinating with clinicians at the clinical site to make student patient assignments.
• Teaching students how to perform duties in the clinical site and answering their questions.
• Evaluating your students' clinical work.
• Attend mandatory clinical meetings at the college three times per academic year.

Job Requirements

• Earned graduate degree in nursing must possess a minimum of two years full-time experience in nursing, or its equivalent, within the last five years and evidence of clinical competence in the area(s) of clinical instruction; or
• Earned baccalaureate degree in nursing must possess a minimum of five years full-time Registered Nurse experience within the last eight years and evidence of clinical competence in the area(s) of clinical instruction and also meet at least one of the following:
  • be matriculated in a graduate nursing program with an expected graduation date within five years of the date of the appointment; or
  • possess a related non-nursing graduate degree; or
  • possess a current Nurse Education certification by a Board recognized certifying organization

Additional Information

Hourly Rate: $87.60 an hour. Part-Time Non-Benefited position.
