EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Temporary, Part-timePRIMARY DUTY: The School of Fine and Performing Arts at Northwest Missouri State University is seeking candidates to create a pool of applicants who can serve as Adjunct Faculty in Art and Design.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Teach online and/or face-to-face courses within the Art and Design program.2. Collaborate with campus faculty.3. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:Education: minimum 18+ hours in the content area at the masters level or beyond. MFA or PhD preferred.Experience: Prior teaching experience is appreciated and will be considered.Skills: Ability to demonstrate art studio skill through materials and processes; understanding of art theory/art history and aesthetics; desire to engage learners; instructional technology skills; interpersonal skills, including oral communication and collaboration; committed to a focus on student success.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The position entails face-to-face and/or online instruction in undergraduate courses typically ranging from 10 to 65 students. Maintain office hours to support students as needed.EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS USED: In class projectors, studio materials/equipment (depending on course), Canvas (Northwest's Learning Management System).
