Adjunct Instructor - Architecture
Reporting to the campus department instructional leader, adjunct instructors provide assistance to students in their learning process by utilizing all appropriate college resources, materials, facilities, and educational technologies available to complement the teaching and learning process providing a direct impact to student success.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accepts and teaches classes based on varied schedules and modalities as assigned.
- Accommodates student needs and external stakeholders' expectations.
- Prepares and delivers instruction using the approved learning management system.
- Communicates regularly with students and college officials.
- Prepares assignments and assessments to assure achievement of learning outcomes.
- Designs and maintains an active classroom environment.
- Evaluates student performance and provides feedback.
- Assists in assessing student and program learning outcomes.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Architecture or a Master's degree with eighteen graduate hours in Architecture from a regionally accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications: Work experience in the discipline, teaching experience, experience with active learning techniques, Dual Credit programs, and online teaching.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work collaboratively, think critically, use computer applications, and engage in professional development.
