Adjunct Instructor of Anthropology, Beginning Spring Semester 2026 (Pool Posting)
Ohio University is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate Anthropology courses at its Regional Campuses, including Chillicothe, Eastern (St. Clairsville), Lancaster, Southern (Ironton), and Zanesville. Positions involve teaching 3 to 11 credit hours per term, with possibilities for online, in-person, hybrid, or technology-based delivery modes.
Specific Course Needs: ANTH 2010 Biological Anthropology covers human evolution, modern human diversity, primate fossil records, evolutionary biology, human population genetics, behavior of monkeys and apes, and human evolution. This is a science course aimed at understanding humanity's place in the animal kingdom.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. (or ABD with dissertation research completed) and an established record of teaching effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching undergraduate courses.
