Position Summary

The department is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part-time temporary teaching positions.

Major Responsibilities

  • Clinical supervision of graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in on- and off-campus practicum. Clinical experiences include screenings, diagnostics, and therapy.
  • Demonstrate a broad range of clinical experiences across the lifespan.
  • Assessment and intervention experiences should include the following: AAC, autism, voice, fluency, aphasia, adult communication disorders, early childhood and school-age speech and language disorders.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical writing skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and professional skills with students, clients, families, colleagues and other professionals.

Functional and Supervisory Relationships

  • Works under the direct supervision of the Department Chair and Clinic Director.
  • Works closely with faculty and staff within the department.
  • Additional working relationships with faculty and staff in other college departments when appropriate.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology or its equivalent.
  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in speech-language pathology.
  • New York State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Three years of clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
  • At least 2 CEUs in Supervision prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical supervisory experience
  • Evidence of a commitment to promoting a diverse academic environment.
