The University of Arizona's Department of Speech Language, & Hearing Sciences seeks a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Faculty member to:

  • Provide evidence-based clinical services and student clinical supervision for pediatric populations.
  • Provide services in-person and via tele-practice for on-campus clinics and off-campus contracts with local/regional partners.
  • Participate in the teaching, scholarship, and service activities of our academic program.

This position is for a career-track, non-tenure eligible faculty member who is an expert in the clinical care of people with communication disorders. The successful candidate will have the skills and knowledge to effectively teach future professionals to become competent, ethical speech-language pathologists or speech-language pathology assistants.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat clients with communication disorders
  • Participate in clinical education
  • Collaborate with departmental faculty to provide evidence-based services
  • Assist clinical program leadership with clinical administration or development as assigned
  • Teach in the classroom related to area/s of expertise as assigned
  • Develop areas of specialty practice
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, or equivalent
  • Five years of clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • License/license-eligibility for practice in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Arizona
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience providing graduate student supervision and experience with pediatric populations is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced spoken/written Spanish language skills.
  • Experience in classroom teaching and program development.
  • Experience in specialty areas of providing services to culturally and linguistically diverse populations, rural communities, early intervention, cleft palate/VPI, or phonology.
