UniSC has established a world class Clinical Trials business unit which builds the region’s collective clinical research capacity and delivers innovative and regionally relevant research in consultation with key stakeholders, including local healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical executives, and other key thought leaders.

As our Senior Project Manager, you will lead with expertise and dedication, ensuring the seamless execution of clinical projects across UniSC's expansive Clinical Trials network, including pivotal locations like the Health Hub Morayfield. This pivotal role fosters collaboration, overseeing project lifecycles, resource allocation, and directly guiding Clinical Trial Associates, Coordinators, and support teams, including pharmacists and trainees engaged in work integrated learning. You will
- lead and guide the implementation of key strategies and programs, ensuring success at our designated site locations;
- build and strengthen vital relationships with industry stakeholders, research organisations, regulatory authorities, vendors, and clinical service providers, skilfully managing diverse and sometimes conflicting needs;
- provide expert technical advice and strategic support to the Clinical Trials Operations Manager and the broader management team, enhancing project execution and management; and
- act as the subject matter expert for all phases of clinical trials, offering insights and coordination on the feasibility, design, and management of early-phase protocols, while contributing to the continuous improvement of UniSC CT’s innovative Project Management System.
About you
You're a skilled project manager who thrives in dynamic environments, bringing initiative and sound judgment to every project. You excel in defining, planning, and executing clinical projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You develop comprehensive project plans and set priorities aligned with UniSC's strategic objectives. Your delegation and negotiation skills drive productivity and team involvement. With a keen eye for risk management, you communicate effectively with all stakeholders. You're also involved in shaping SOPs, policies, and Project Management Tools that enhance team performance.
You will possess:
- Bring expert technical knowledge of early phase drug development and adeptness in managing resources within trial budgets.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple work streams or leading large, complex projects, balancing various demands and resolving conflicts effectively.
- In-depth understanding of ICH/GCP guidelines and high level expertise in planning and executing clinical trials across all phases.
- Strong leadership qualities paired with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to cultivate a positive, results oriented work culture, fostering teamwork and open communication.
- Skilled in training, motivating, mentoring, and supervising staff and work integrated learning students.
- Sharp critical thinking skills to evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and break down complex information into detailed, actionable insights.
- Lead groundbreaking clinical projects that drive innovation and impact healthcare outcomes across our dynamic Clinical Trials network.
