Opportunity to assist with the organisation and coordination of Teaching and Curriculum activities across School of Languages and Culture

HEO 5 Base Salary $89,755 - $100,495 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Administration Officer - Teaching and Curriculum to provide high-level administrative and operational support within the School of Languages and Culture. Under the general direction of the Teaching and Curriculum Coordinator and the School Manager, this role supports teaching and curriculum activities including timetabling, examinations, results processing, and unit administration; maintains accurate records, databases, and web content; responds to a wide range of enquiries; and assists with reporting, committee support, and continuous process improvement to ensure the effective delivery of academic and student services.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • deliver daily administration activities and services ensuring that high quality and efficient administrative support is provided in a pro-active manner to staff, students, clients and visitors
  • provide support and advice to academic staff, under the direction of the Teaching and Curriculum Coordinator (TCC) and School Manager (SM), in relation to University and Faculty policy, provisions and guidelines, and student-related issues, including development and implementation of processes and procedures relating to delivery of teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate courses and students
  • maintain and update databases and contact lists to support learning and teaching operations
  • assist in continuous process improvement and maintain active networks with peers and others to facilitate identification and adoption of best practice processes and systems.

About you

  • Experience in curriculum and/or student support within a tertiary education environment
  • Working knowledge of software programs such as Sydney Student, Sydney Curriculum, SITS, Allocate, Concur, UniBuy, Records Management systems, and Content Management Systems
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to use initiative, exercise sound judgment, and prioritise workloads during busy periods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and delivering high quality customer service
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, especially Excel and web-based software
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships
  • sound understanding of policies and procedures, with the ability to interpret and apply them accurately.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
