About This Opportunity
The Administration Officer within Indigenous Employment plays a vital role in supporting UQ’s commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment and reconciliation. Working closely with the Principal Advisor, Senior Manager, Indigenous Employment and across the Indigenous Engagement Division, this role provides high-quality administrative, financial, and coordination support that enables meaningful engagement activities, events, and employment initiatives across UQ.
This is a varied, people-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a larger dynamic university environment, coordinating logistics to deliver events, managing enquiries, and contributing to positive work environments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff and communities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative and logistical support for engagement activities and events, including seminars, workshops, conferences, and network gatherings
- Coordinating event logistics such as venue bookings, catering, and attendee management
- Supporting Indigenous Employment recruitment, onboarding, and promotion activities
- Managing the Indigenous Employment inbox and triaging enquiries from internal stakeholders
- Undertaking general office administration, records management, and data coordination
