Administrative Assistant 1
Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides responsible administrative and secretarial support for a department or office, often of a complex and confidential nature, generally in support of a department chair or equivalent level administrator.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Calendars
Maintain multiple calendars for seven faculty members, including OR/Clinic calendars, travel calendars and conference calendars.
Travel
Coordinate travel arrangements for meetings and conferences for faculty. Process travel requests and reimbursements.
Departmental Website
Maintain the departmental website.
Customer Service
Answer phones, direct calls, take messages, answer questions.
Observerships
Coordinate and submit required paperwork for all observerships.
Support Faculty
Maintain up to date assigned faculty CV's, to include converting new faculty CV's to MCG format. Maintain files for BLS/ACLS cert., licenses, DEA, CV's and for assigned faculty. Maintain photos/graphics files and biographical sketches for each assigned faculty. Coordinate faculty recruitment (i.e make travel arrangements, schedule appointments, complete itinerary per BOR requirements) Assist with faculty credentialing and re-credentialing.
Rinker Witherington Society
Assist Residency Coordinator in planning of Rinker Witherington Society Meeting and Annual Mode Symposium.
Other
Perform other related duties/tasks are assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions.
OR
High school diploma/GED from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and six years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions.

Ability to manage multiple projects while supervising student employees, answering phone and business process.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F
Pay Band: B2
Salary Range: $15.77/hourly - $18.89/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.

Conditions of Employment
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.

Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.
