Salary Range: $40,326 - $42,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Administrative Associate provides administrative support to the College of Sciences (COS), Graduate Studies staff and/or faculty to ensure efficient office operations using some independent judgement. This role includes a variety of tasks such as administrative, financial, and coordination. In this position, the incumbent will adhere to established policies and procedures to complete the tasks.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and logistical support for Graduate Studies, including routine clerical and administrative processes.
- Support COS graduate recruitment efforts by coordinating, planning, and assisting with recruitment activities and events representing COS graduate programs.
- Assist the College of Sciences Communications Specialist with photography and videography of COS students, faculty, and events.
- Draft, schedule, and manage social media content for the College of Sciences Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram accounts, following established messaging and branding guidelines.
- Assist with writing and editing feature stories highlighting UT San Antonio students and alumni within the College of Sciences.
- Support the production and editing of electronic communications, including websites, email communications, and newsletters.
- Provide operational and administrative support to COS leadership in Communications and Graduate Studies, helping facilitate day-to-day communications, coordination, and follow-through on established priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of COS Communications and Graduate Studies activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Vocational training or Apprenticeships in a related field.
- Three (3) years of related work experience.
+ Additional education may substitute for experience on a one year for one year basis. - This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

- Office Environment. Workdays, areas, and work hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
- Sedentary: Up to 10lbs - Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
