Summary of Position
This position exists to assist the Director of School-Age Child Care in administering services for the department. The Administrative Specialist III provides information regarding budget management, banner reconciliation of accounts, Procurement processes, maintaining regulatory compliance for Colorado Dept. of Early Childhood, Jefferson County health and fire dept. Exhibit exemplary office and time management skills for the department in voices, receivables, and community relationships Additional responsibilities are to be a liaison between the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP), School-Age Child Care and the low-income families in which we support. In order to effectively utilize CCCAP in the before and after school program it is essential to have an individual highly trained to ensure that the CCAP process is consistent and unified.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Knowledge of principles and practices of financial administration, budget reconciliation, and regulatory compliance applicable to school-age child care programs, including CCAP requirements and state and county oversight agencies
- Skill in maintaining and reconciling financial, attendance, and licensing records; preparing financial reports; and utilizing spreadsheets and accounting systems to track, analyze, and report fiscal data.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures consistently; manage multiple administrative functions with accuracy and attention to detail; and communicate effectively with families, staff, and external agencies to ensure program compliance and service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Relevant, post-secondary education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Certified public bookkeeper license or accounting certification.
- Two years of office experience and leadership management.
- Knowledge of Colorado Child Care Assistance Program and Colorado Department of Early Childcare Regulations
- Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse communities and supporting individuals from diverse populations, which may include but are not limited to, racial, ethnic, and gender background that are underrepresented.
Physical & Cognitive Demands
The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.
- Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
- This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
- The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Starting Salary
Starting salary range for this position is $48,305-$53,136 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
