Organizational Unit Overview:

The Department of Family Medicine is one of eleven clinical departments at the Brody School of Medicine. The purpose of the department is to improve the health of the people of eastern North Carolina through leadership in Family Medicine education, research and health care services. The mission of the department is to teach the fundamentals of comprehensive family oriented care to all medical students at the Brody School of Medicine and provide high quality residency and fellowship training that emphasizes rural health care. The department is committed to meeting the health education needs of health care professionals, learners, and the people of eastern North Carolina. The department provides accessible, high quality health care for its patients. The department contributes to the body of Family Medicine knowledge through excellence in research in scholarly activity.

Job Duties:

The Department of Family Medicine at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine is currently seeking to hire a full-time Administrative Support Associate to join their Residency team.

This position provides technical and administrative support to the Residency Division of the Department of Family Medicine. The priority duties of this position include tasks associated with scheduling, coordinating, and maintaining a database for Academic Afternoon and maintaining resident attendance records. The position also helps coordinate residency candidate interview schedules by maintaining detailed spreadsheet records of interviews, evaluations, and scores for residency candidates. In addition, this position provides administrative support to the Program Director and assigned Residency faculty members.

Minimum Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation:
