Primary Purpose of the Position:
This position will support the School of Social Work, the Associate Dean, the Chairperson, faculty members, and students. Special emphasis will be on customer service that requires communication, problem-solving, and knowledge of university and division programs and services; work coordination for the supervisor; and office technology applicable to office operations with an emphasis on budgets and accounting support.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Knowledge skills and abilities:
- Proficient use of office software such as MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Navigate Banner Finance System and 25Live.
- Ability to design Excel spreadsheets, create forms using Excel, and extract data from Banner System to develop reports.
- Knowledge of standard policies, practices, and guidelines for office operations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and abilities to make decisions necessary to handle inquiries to make appropriate referrals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of various software packages such as Adobe, Microsoft Suite, Xtender document management, and Ingeniux software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a higher education or educational setting.
- Five years of office/administrative support experience.
