Job Summary
The
Division of Continuing Education (CE) at the University
of Colorado Boulder is seeking applicants for several
Admissions
and Operations Sr. Professionals ! This role supports online
professional graduate programs, and/or online post baccalaureate
programs and is responsible for developing, implementing, and
scaling a comprehensive recruiting strategy for these young and
growing programs. Ideal candidates will need to be creative and
innovative self-starters able to establish a recruiting pipeline
and grow enrollment.
We seek multifaceted individuals with the drive and analytical
skills to create thoughtful, strategic recruitment campaigns,
project management skills to originate and lead complex
initiatives, and emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to
build collaborative relationships and provide prospective online
students with excellent enrollment support. The recruitment
approach for CU Boulder Online relies on high-touch engagement
with, and nurturing of, prospective students. Candidates should be
familiar with online learning, nontraditional students, recruitment
and admission procedures, advising practices, and financial
aid.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Recruitment Strategy and Operations:
- Develop and implement the strategy for online student
recruitment and admissions to continue growing online
programs.
Provide a high touch approach to prospective student engagement
by using known standard methodologies in recruitment and admissions
support, in a timely and consistent manner.
Identify new opportunities to create a replenishable and
diverse applicant pool and scale enrollment in required online
programs.
Provide proactive and personalized engagement with prospective
and newly admitted students, including nurturing leads, responding
to inquiries, providing program information, assisting with the
application and enrollment processes, connecting to academic and
student support services, facilitating timely and effective
interventions to resolve concerns or barriers, and assisting with
successful matriculation to University’s online programs.
Conduct one-on-one meetings and communications via phone,
video, text, and email with prospective students to provide a
high-level of personalized service.
Manage program email inboxes by providing timely and customized
responses to prospective student questions and inquiries.
Plan, manage and co-lead recruitment and networking events
(virtual and in-person), including open houses, Q&A sessions,
webinars, information sessions, participation in trade shows and
conferences, etc.
Plan and manage the application process for assigned programs
and other online programs, as needed.
Identify and manage relationships with external entities for
recruitment purposes, including other universities and private,
public, and non-profit sector organizations.
Manage online student recruitment efforts to help create a
program and culture that appeals to a diverse pool of
applicants.
Track key performance metrics and evaluate success of
recruitment and admissions efforts over time, taking into
consideration the globalization and flexible nature of online
programs.
Student Enrollment Engagement and Communications:
- Liaise with program staff and CE Marketing to collaborate on
the development of and implementation of comprehensive
communication strategy for prospective online students.
- Deploy and manage prospective student communications, including
email nurturing campaigns.
- In collaboration with CE Marketing and other CE and University
units, implement highly effective external communication campaigns
for online student audiences.
- Build and nurture industry partnerships to benefit prospective
students.
- Liaise with other CU units, including International Admissions,
Veteran and Military Affairs, Financial Aid Office, etc., as
needed, in order to support prospective students.
- Assist with the identification of potential industry,
community, and non-profit organization partners to contribute to
create new pipelines for prospective students.
Program Operations Support:
- Identify challenges, weaknesses, and trouble spots, make
recommendations for program growth and improvement, including new
policies, resolutions, strategic foresight and other innovations
with a specific commitment to growing enrollment and increasing
diversity within the program.
- Manage and track enrollment and engagement statistics for
assigned programs.
- Represent assigned academic programs at meetings, serve on CE
or University committees, assist with special events and projects,
etc.
- Participate in staff development activities, including
appropriate University workshops, conferences and programs, and
state and national professional organizations.
Professional Development and Unit Support:
- Attend CE and subunit meetings.
- Actively engage in CE-wide committees.
- Regularly seek out and attend professional development
opportunities, specific to supporting online students.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or partnering
departments/units.
What You Should Know
- The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00
AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional irregular hours (i.e., an occasional
evening or weekend).
- Position is expected to be hybrid, with 2-3 days/week in the
office.
What We Can Offer
The annual salary range for these full-time positions is $62,400 -
68,000.

What We Require
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a
bachelor’s degree in a field related to this position.
- 3 years of related professional experience, preferably in
higher education, admissions and recruitment, program management,
advising, student success, career services, or similar roles.
What You Will Need
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and within a
collaborative work environment.
- Experience working with online students and programs.
- Knowledge of the inquiry, decision-making, and commitment cycle
of nontraditional students.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with
the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the
organization.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills, including
mastery of online presentation skills.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, analytical, and technical
skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to build and foster relationships with prospective
students or clients, and the administrative staff who support
them.
- Sensitivity to and appreciation of cultural, political, and
geographical differences with ability to work well with faculty,
staff and students of diverse backgrounds.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Experience working with non-traditional or online student
populations.
- Master’s degree in a preferred field such as Student Affairs,
Higher Education,
- Computer Science, STEM or another related field.
- Knowledge of Computer Science Education and its related
Professional Pathways.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience working with a CRM (Client Relationship Management)
System.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, supporting
diverse clients/students.
- Experience developing online enrollment processes, support
services and standard methodologies.
