York College, founded in 1966, is a center of academic excellence in the heart of Jamaica, Queens. York’s academic programs are housed in three schools: The School of Arts & Sciences, The School of Business and Information Systems, and The School of Health Sciences and Professional Programs. The College also offers six graduate programs: Aviation Management, Clinical Trials Management, Pharmaceutical Science and Business, Physician Assistant, Social Work and Nursing Education.

The Admissions Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of Admissions. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:
- Develop fluency and effectively execute all admission operations procedures including application processing and review, New York State residency review, transfer credit evaluation, and other enrollment related processes.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all York College programs and opportunities and be able to relay this information to prospective students and families in a friendly and coherent manner.
- Assist in recruiting prospective students and families by representing York College at both on and off campus events. This can include planning and execution of all on-campus recruitment events.
- Conduct on-campus information sessions and serves as in-house admissions counselor for prospective students and families visiting the admissions office.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to community partners (requires travel).
- Maintain or oversee student information systems and CRM platforms (e.g., Slate, PeopleSoft/CUNYfirst).
-Evenings and Weekends may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Reliable personal transportation preferred for travel to outreach events and local facilities.
- Multi-lingual individual desired to interact with our diverse student community.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Coordinates efforts of admissions and/or enrollment offices.
- Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students
- Counsels prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed
- Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large
- Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials
- Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed
- Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Performs related duties as assigned.

$48,647 - $54,725 - Salary commensurate with education and experience.
