Position Overview: The Undergraduate Admissions Events and Orientation Coordinator is responsible for assisting and supporting the planning, implementation, and logistics of over 50 departmental on-and off-campus events per year.

Responsibilities: The Undergraduate Admissions Events and Orientation Coordinator is responsible for assisting and supporting the planning, implementation, and logistics of over 50 departmental on-and off-campus events per year. Admissions events range from small boutique-style receptions for 50 guests to large admitted student days welcoming over 3,000 guests, virtual information sessions and event programs, and off-campus strategic market events to drive enrollment. Orientation programming includes online, student-paced modules, virtual academic advising appointments, and 25 summer and 10 winter one-day on campus sessions with additional programming overnight and weekends for extended orientation options. In addition, this position recruits, hires, trains, coaches, and supervises our Orientation Peer Ambassadors, our student personnel that help transition 3,500 new students and their families to the UMBC Community. This position requires extensive and complex planning and coordination with both internal and external vendors in addition to a strong background in student staff supervision and leadership development. As the primary staff overseeing our Orientation Peer Ambassadors, this position also requires experience in student leadership development and management.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum two years experience preferably working with events in a university setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Student leadership development or student supervision in a university setting.

Salary: Salary: $54,500-$61,500 depending on qualifications and experience. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
