Job Summary:
The Division of Cardiology at the University of Colorado has an opening for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to work in General Cardiology. This position will include outpatient assessment and management of our adult and adolescent patients in conjunction with our cardiologists and interaction with other subspecialties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independent assessment and management of cardiology patients
- Collaborate as a team member with cardiologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and medical assistants
- Provide timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Work Location:
Onsite - This role is expected to work onsite and is located at University of Colorado Hospital.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- State of Colorado Certified Physician Assistant or Inclusion on the State of Colorado Advanced Practice Registry as an Advance Practice Nurse or
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
- Experience working independently as an advanced practice provider
- Cardiology experience is preferred
- ACLS Certified
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in ambulatory or inpatient management of cardiology patients
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including physicians, leadership, and staff within the various affiliate organizations (UCH, Children's Colorado, CU Medicine, CU SOM).
- Ability to work within large, complex healthcare systems.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to compile complex reports and develop presentations.
- Ability to compose letters and memorandums.
- Ability to deal calmly and courteously with people.
- Ability to deal with stressful situations.
- Ability to finish tasks promptly.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$90,000 to $130,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
