The prestigious Anya Sturdy Fellowship supports research in haemato-oncology and is open to applications from clinical trainees in haematology. Applications are welcome from candidates wishing to undertake a period of advanced basic scientific research or those wishing to undertake clinical research. We would expect that the successful applicant will apply for a PhD in biomedical science during the course of this Fellowship. Applicants undertaking clinical research will need to hold an honorary contract from the NHS.

The successful applicant will be a Haematologist in training with a commitment to basic or translational biomedical research. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of staff and external collaborators. The ability to work as a team member as well as independently, with a strong desire to pursue a career in academic haematology, is essential to the position.

The post will either be based at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine (MRC WIMM) or Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) Department of Haematology, depending on the research project.

This is a full-time fixed-term position for 12 months, funded by the Anya Sturdy Trust.
