Position Description
Assistant Adjunct Professor, Department of Physiology and Biophysics
The Department of Physiology & Biophysics at the University of California, Irvine is committed to academic excellence and diversity. Invites applications for a non-senate Assistant Adjunct Professor to participate in research, academic activities, and service.
Principal Responsibilities
Work with scientists in School of Medicine and UCI campus, develop extramurally funded research in proteomics, leadership in proteomics research. Opportunities for research, teaching, mentorship.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry or related field; expertise in biological mass spectrometry, proteomics, cross-linking mass spectrometry, protein-protein interactions, proteasomal biology.
Desirable: Experience with high-end mass spectrometers, advanced proteomics, supervising students/postdocs, mass spec services. Strong publications, communication skills, teaching commitment.
