The Department of Urology (previously the Division of Urology) is developing into a top-tier department through the systematic addition of world-renowned faculty.
A full-time faculty position in Urology is available in the Department of Urology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. We are seeking Urologists in the areas of Andrology/Infertility, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Urologic Oncology, Endourology, and General Urology. Other Urology subspecialties are also welcome to apply. The successful applicant will be provided with a competitive salary and benefits, and the final rank/title will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.
The University of Cincinnati Urology Department participates in ambulatory care at UC Health, which is comprised of the flagship University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC) and the nearby West Chester Hospital (WCH). UC Health serves a broad population and is the sole academic health system in the southwestern Ohio region, including patients from Northern Kentucky, Eastern Indiana, and Southern Ohio. UCMC offers Quaternary Care and is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in our region. The successful candidate will participate in resident education, conferences, ambulatory clinics, and in the operating room.
State-of-the-art resources and technologies are available to faculty to deliver high-level patient care. The University, College of Medicine, and Department of Urology have invested extensively in research and educational resources to support the tripartite mission of an academic medical center. Faculty will be encouraged to utilize available resources to contribute to the advancement of patient care and learner education.
Essential Functions
- Clinical responsibilities focused on areas of advanced training and specific expertise.
- Opportunities for participating in or initiating Urologic research projects.
- Engaging in teaching activities for our students, residents, and fellows.
Minimum Requirements
- Eligible for full, unrestricted licensure in the state of Ohio
- Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
- Completion of residency in Urology
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Commitment to our multifaceted, underserved patient population
Additional Qualifications Considered
Completion of an accredited 1-3 year fellowship in Andrology/Infertility, Female Pelvic Medicine or Reconstructive Surgery, Urologic Oncology, Endourology requiring fellowship training.
