Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Professional Practice - Accounting
Position Description
The Accounting Division at Columbia Business School welcomes applications for one or more non-tenure track positions at the assistant, associate, or full professor of professional practice rank, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Candidates are expected to contribute to the School’s mission through excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and service. Faculty in this role draw upon substantial professional experience to deliver high-quality instruction in degree programs, develop and update course materials, and contribute to the intellectual and pedagogical life of the School. In addition, candidates are expected to engage in service activities that support the Division, the School, and the broader professional community, and to contribute to institution-building efforts as appropriate.
Qualifications
Applicants must have an MBA, PhD/DBA preferred, and should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and to institution-building contributions that advance the mission of the School. Candidates should have a record of, or demonstrate strong potential for, effective teaching, curriculum development, and service. In addition, candidates are expected to draw upon substantial professional experience to inform their teaching and contributions to the academic community.
- Assistant professors of professional practice candidates should have at least three years of business or other applicable experience.
- Associate professors of professional practice candidates should have at least eight years of business or other applicable experience.
- Professors of professional practice should have at least 12 years of business or other applicable experience.
