Position Highlights

The Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball position is a full-time, annually appointed position reporting directly to and assisting the Head Coach in all facets of a Division I basketball program.

This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel for competition and recruiting.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of recruiting student-athletes to the UA Women's Basketball program, including evaluating, making notes and communicating with recruits.
  • Provide academic assistance and monitoring.
  • Scouting and film editing.
  • Coordinate with NCAA compliance liaison.
  • Assist with floor responsibilities during practice.
  • Maintain knowledge of and abide by conference, UA and NCAA rules.
  • Assist in arranging campus and home visits.
  • Assist in arranging housing for student-athletes.
  • Act as a public relations contact as required.
  • Budget accountability.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience coaching at the college level.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NCAA regulations.
