Job Description:
The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach/Director of Basketball Operations will support the Head Coach in all aspects of managing the women's basketball program. This dual role involves coaching duties, administrative responsibilities, and operational oversight. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the athletic and academic development of student-athletes and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Aid in recruiting high-level prospective student-athletes, including daily recruiting efforts, evaluating talent, planning recruiting trips for staff, coordinating PSA campus visits, general correspondence, and all things connected to identifying elite athletes.
- Assist in planning and coordinating in-season and out-of-season practices, including individual skill instruction and team workouts, focusing on developing athletic skills to compete at the Division I level. Provide on-court instruction to women's basketball student-athletes in any position to enhance team performance.
- Assist in planning and implementing game plans for each game, including the development of opponents' scouting reports.
- Provide administrative support by managing all aspects of team travel, including transportation, lodging, and meals.
- Oversee scheduling of practices and other team activities.
- Coordinate, organize, and manage special events, such as team meals, post-game meals, alumni events, and fundraising activities.
- Participate in fundraising activities for the women's basketball program (camps, clinics, etc.) and/or the Department of Athletics.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, working effectively within a culture of individuals with diverse backgrounds, styles, abilities, and motivations.
- Abide by and comply with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Conference rules, academic standards, requirements, and policies of the Department of Athletics and University.
- Contribute to the overall success of the University's intercollegiate athletics program by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Requires irregular work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from a four year accredited institution
- One year relevant work experience and/or previous experience as a coach or collegiate/professional player.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Working knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
