"Social Media Manager"

Baker University seeks qualified applicants to fill a Social Media Manager position in the Office of Marketing and Communications.

The Social Media Manager serves as a valuable member of the Office of Marketing and Communications, managing external communications across Baker University’s social media accounts and implementing segmented content strategies to build brand awareness, website traffic, and user engagement. Work performed in this role covers all four of the university’s schools: College of Arts and Sciences, School of Professional and Graduate Studies, School of Education, and School of Nursing. The Social Media Manager has the primary responsibilities of overseeing social media strategy, developing and supervising internship programs, and providing expertise on special projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, media, or a communications-related field
• Two to three years of experience in managing a brand’s social media channels
• Ability to leverage automation software for social management and reporting of key performance indicators
• Ability to lead meetings, manage project execution, and use project management software like Asana to provide transparency on project status
• Ability to multitask and successfully work both individually and with a team
• Proven verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with video production is a plus.
• Experience in photography is a plus.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
