Posting Description
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, ACADEMIC & EVENTS, MIT Sloan Martin Trust Center, to manage course portfolios, events, and student-facing programs from planning through execution; evaluate program effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative metrics; pilot new programming models; and serve as the primary liaison among faculty, staff, students, and cross-campus partners. The position is accountable for enrollment targets, application processes, student communications, event design, graduation ceremonies, and reporting outcomes to senior academic leadership. Programs include multiple entrepreneurship certificates, study tours, fellowships, and co-curricular offerings; oversee significant resource management, including coordinating teaching appointments for ~30 faculty, recruiting and training teaching assistants, managing program and event budgets, negotiating vendor contracts, and establishing scalable operational processes; develop strong relationship management with faculty, instructors, vendors, and stakeholders.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of 2 years of academic administration experience; proven track record of successful project/program and event management; strong organizational, communication, multitasking, and process-design skills; technical proficiency; discretion with confidential information; and adaptability in fast-paced environments. PREFERRED: Master’s degree; experience in academic coordination in higher education; familiarity with MIT and MIT Sloan policies and procedures; social media skills; and design skills.
