Job Summary
The Assistant Director, Athletics and Transfer Credit Evaluations
provides leadership and coordinates strategies to ensure
operational effectiveness, accuracy, and equitable resource
allocation to meet production goals. Under the direction of the
University Registrar, this position is responsible for reviewing
institutional philosophy and policy in order to develop procedures
for the enhancement of student service delivery in Enrollment
Services (ES) while supporting campus compliance with applicable
federal, state and system-wide regulations.
Furthermore, the incumbent provides services that are equitable,
inclusive, and culturally sensitive to enhance the quality of
campus life. This position uses a student-centered and
equity-minded approach in all communication and service
efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Policy - Provide day-to-day, hands-on
leadership and guidance in implementing policies and directing the
operational functions associated with efficient, accurate, and
timely processing of Athletics and Transfer Credit Evaluations.
Develops, implements, and coordinates the workload priorities and
creates, compiles, and maintains statistical reports and programs
to assist with workload management.
Data Analysis & Systems/Process Recommendation - In
collaboration with the University Registrar, identifies University
and ES priorities and develops plans for efficient and effective
support and implementation. Creates, prepares, and analyzes
reports; monitors workload; and compiles data as required to
evaluate ES activities and programs in support of students.
Communication - In collaboration with the University Registrar,
develops and maintains messaging and a communication plan for
Student Records communications that affect internal and external
stakeholders and customers. Supports the University Registrar in
identifying and drafting new communications and incorporating
information/instructions pertaining to new initiatives as relevant
in existing communications.
Personnel Management - Manages the Athletics and Transfer
Credit Evaluations units, including handling of personnel matters.
Provides second-level management for the Student Records where
necessary. Creates and maintains an effective team with an emphasis
on professionalism and excellence in student service. Establishes
clear production goals and deadlines, ensuring all staff are on
track to perform as expected.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and
qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal
equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
- Hiring Range: The hiring range for this
position is $6,250 - $7,083 per month commensurate with candidate's
education, experience, skills, and training.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of student
records operations, policies, and procedures, with demonstrated
experience working in automated student information systems and
managing complex projects from planning through implementation.
They will have the ability to analyze and interpret academic
policies, exercise sound judgment in resolving complex issues, and
make informed recommendations when exceptions to policy are
warranted. The successful candidate will also be skilled in
supervising and developing staff through effective training,
coaching, performance management, and workload monitoring while
ensuring operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Additionally, they will have strong analytical, research, and
reporting skills, the ability to leverage technology to achieve
project goals, and experience communicating and collaborating
effectively with senior leadership, faculty, staff, and diverse
campus communities.

They will treat students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders

the institution, and foster teamwork to achieve shared goals. They
will maintain accurate documentation of roles, responsibilities,
and processes to support operational continuity, ensure the
integrity and quality of student data, and work collaboratively to
influence positive change, strengthen partnerships, and advance the
strategic objectives of Enrollment Services and the
university.

procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university
experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related
experience required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of three
years of experience supervising and training processing staff in
Student Records. Experience coordinating an operational unit in a
large, fast-paced environment and working with a diverse population
of employees.

Physical Summary
