Assistant Director Law School Career Services

Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary:The Assistant Director of Law School Career Services provides comprehensive legal career counseling and employment services to current students and alumni. Participates in educational programs for current students. Assist in the administration of Career Services Offices On-Campus Interviewing, mock interviews, practice panels, and job search skills workshops. Assists in marketing efforts for legal employers.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree and two (2) years of student career advising or legal experience; OR Juris Doctorate and admission in good standing to the bar of any state in the U.S.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge:Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of legal recruitment practices. Knowledge of web-based research, including Martindale, state bar directories, LinkedIn, and the NALP directory. Knowledge of or the ability to master the Career Services Office's web-based career management system, 12twenty.
Preferred Qualifications:J.D. from an accredited law school.
