FINANCE OFFICE

Assistant Finance Officer (Treasury Section) (25260496)

Responsibilities:

• Handle and co-ordinate with different departmental users on accounting, payment requests, reimbursements and budgetary control matters;
• Handle payment enquiries from staff, students and suppliers; 
• Assist the supervisors in preparing and reviewing the accounting and management reports of two PRC subsidiaries of the University and liaise with external auditors or consultants;
• Perform general accounting work and payment processing;
• Prepare analysis schedules and month-end and year-end reports;
• Assist the supervisors in testing and implementing system enhancements; and
• Perform ad hoc tasks and clerical duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A recognised diploma or above and preferably in Accounting, Business, Finance or related disciplines with preferably one year of relevant work experience;
• Good analytical skills, problem solving skills and PC application skills especially in Excel;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; 
• A good team player, mature and self-motivated; and
• Experience in handling PRC accounting matters will be an advantage.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract for two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
