announces
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
for the appointment of one candidate to the position of Assistant, in the field of Natural Sciences, scientific field of Physics, on a fixed-term basis, as a replacement for a temporarily absent employee.
In addition to the requirements specified in this Call for Applications, candidates must also meet the general requirements prescribed by the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No. 119/2022).
Candidates are required to submit the following documents together with their signed application: curriculum vitae, a copy of the diploma/certificate of completed studies, a decision/opinion on the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification for candidates who obtained their qualification abroad, a certified transcript of records for undergraduate and graduate or integrated studies, including the calculated grade point average, proof of citizenship, and, for foreign nationals, proof of proficiency in the Croatian language (C2 – advanced level).
Candidates who invoke the right to priority in employment under special regulations must explicitly state this right in their application. Such candidates shall have priority over other candidates only under equal conditions established by the Call for Applications and provided that their application is duly completed and submitted within the prescribed deadline. Candidates invoking the right to priority in employment pursuant to Articles 102 and 103 of the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Their Family Members (Official Gazette Nos. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23) are required, in addition to evidence demonstrating that they meet the required conditions, to submit all documents required under Article 103, paragraph 1, available at the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans: Ministry of Croatian Veterans – Employment.
By submitting an application, candidates expressly consent to the Faculty of Science, University of Split, as the data controller, collecting, using and further processing their personal data for the purpose of conducting the recruitment procedure, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Candidates who meet the formal requirements of the Call for Applications may be required to undergo an assessment of the knowledge and skills relevant to the performance of the duties of the position, by means of testing and/or an interview. All information concerning the assessment procedure will be published on the official website of the Faculty of Science, University of Split: Faculty of Science, University of Split, at least five days prior to the assessment. Candidates who fail to attend the assessment shall be deemed to have withdrawn their application. Candidates will be notified of the place and time of the assessment by email sent to the email address provided in their application. Candidates of both sexes are equally eligible to apply.
Applications must be submitted electronically within 30 days of the publication of the Call for Applications in the Official Gazette (Narodne novine) to the following email address: natjecaj-posao@pmfst.hr. An application shall be considered complete if it contains all required attachments and is signed by the candidate in their own hand. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered, and applicants with incomplete applications will not be invited to supplement their applications.
Candidates will be notified of the outcome of the Call for Applications within the statutory deadline.
