Summary of Position
The Kitchen Supervisor oversees daily food production and kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality meals and efficient service across campus. Reporting to the Director, this role prepares and follows recipes, estimates food and supply needs, produces prep sheets, and maintains rotating menus based on customer counts and catering demands. The supervisor trains and leads 10-12 employees, ensuring adherence to safety, sanitation, portion control, and scheduling expectations. Additional responsibilities include coordinating catered events, ordering and inventorying supplies, maintaining proper storage and temperature controls, and communicating with clients regarding catering plans when needed. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, three years of food-service experience, six months of supervisory experience, and barista experience, with ServSafe certification preferred.
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m., with occasional after-hours or cross-campus work. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System. This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt position (overtime eligible).

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Six months or more Barista experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of experience working in food service as a cook etc. Six months of experience in a supervisory role in food service industry.

Physical & Cognitive Demands The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.
- Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
- This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
- The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.
Starting Salary Starting salary range for this position is $43,181.82 - $47,500.00 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
