Assistant or Associate Professor in Therapeutics Research
The Department of Anesthesiology, Pharmacology & Therapeutics (APT) at The University of British Columbia (UBC) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Associate Professor (tenure) in Therapeutics Research. This role provides access to a multidisciplinary environment for research and education on prescription drug therapy.
Reporting to the Head of APT and taking direction from the Therapeutics Initiative (TI) Co-Directors, the successful candidate will develop an independent research program in pharmacoepidemiology and biostatistics. They will participate in teaching, mentorship, and service to the University, fostering inclusivity and collaboration.
Qualifications include a PhD in epidemiology with advanced biostatistics and post-doctoral experience in pharmacoepidemiology. Preference is for candidates with experience in observational research on large databases, drug evaluation for rare diseases, drug policy research, or health economics.
For Assistant Professor: Demonstrated evidence of teaching and scholarly activity. For Associate Professor: Evidence of successful teaching, directing graduate students, and scholarly productivity.
Office space is on the UBC main campus at Point Grey in Vancouver. Salary ranges from $135,000 to $170,000 per annum, depending on rank.
