Assistant or Associate Professor without Tenure, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Immunology, Center for Immunity and Immunotherapies
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and the Center for Immunity and Immunotherapies (CIIT) in the Seattle Children's Research Institute (SCRI) is recruiting a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor, without tenure by reason of funding. The position will be on the faculty-scientist pathway, with anticipated start date in Fall 2024.
Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments aligning with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30), paid for 11 months with one month for paid time off. Associate Professors hold indefinite appointments under the same service period.
The successful candidate will conduct translational laboratory and/or clinical research in areas relevant to immune cell development and/or function, including immunodeficiencies, immune dysregulation, cell therapies, genetic engineering, or in vivo delivery. They will lead an independent research program and provide up to 25% effort to clinical care as part of the Immunology team at Seattle Children's Hospital.
The candidate will join a diverse team of clinicians, physician-scientists, and scientists within CIIT to participate in the diagnosis, treatment, and advancement of knowledge and novel therapeutics for immune-based diseases. The base salary range is $14,417 - $21,250 per month ($173,004 - $255,000 annually), commensurate with experience. Requires an M.D. or D.O. (or foreign equivalent), with board certification or eligibility in Allergy and Immunology or Pediatric Rheumatology. Must be eligible for medical licensure in Washington State.
