The Bloch School enrolls approximately 2000 undergraduate and graduate students and also offers extensive non-credit programming through executive and continuing education. The Bloch School has approximately 60 full-time faculty and a talented group of adjunct faculty, many of whom who are in leadership roles at organizations in the region.
Job Description
The Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking applications for a non-tenure track Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor position from outstanding candidates with expertise in finance and financial modeling.
This is a 9-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointment eligible for ranked faculty promotion. Initial appointment is for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Qualifications
MBA or related graduate degree (including a PhD or DBA) where the business school is accredited by AACSB or EQUIS with significant coursework in areas related to expected teaching assignments.
For candidates with a MBA or MS degree, at least 5 years of professional experience in areas related to expected teaching assignments.
Experience, professional engagement, and/or research must allow for candidates to meet AACSB faculty qualifications.
Evidence documenting expertise relating to how AI can be leveraged in financial analysis and financial modeling.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate competencies critical for instructional effectiveness, the ability to address the needs of students from across a broad portfolio of programs and from different backgrounds, and the capacity to utilize different teaching modalities.
Anticipated Hiring Range
This is an Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor position and salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
