Assistant Professor, ASN Nursing (Special Appointment)

Curry College School of Nursing offers several programs: Traditional BS in Nursing; Accelerated Second-Degree BS in Nursing; RN to BS completion, an accelerated entry-MSN; and an MSN with two tracks: education and administration. The newest program option, an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree is currently under review, seeking approval from the MA Board of Registration in Nursing. These positions are contingent upon successful approval.
Curry College School of Nursing is seeking several special appointment, full-time Assistant Professors beginning Fall 2026 to teach in the ASN program. The faculty must be able to teach a variety of didactic and simulation lab courses to primarily prelicensure associate degree students with options to teach courses in the other nursing program options as qualified. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach pediatric, maternity courses and/or has experience with simulation.
The special appointment, Assistant Professor's responsibilities will include teaching face-to-face, courses. Additionally, the Assistant Professor is expected to adhere to College expectations for teaching, service, and scholarship consistent with the rank of Assistant Professor.
Candidates must have current knowledge and experience of standards and practices classroom and/or simulation pedagogy; Current knowledge of clinical nursing care; Strong oral and written communication skills; Ability to work with diverse learners; Ability to work with new technology and software; and Strong organizational skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- An earned graduate level degree in Nursing.
- Teaching experience at the Associate Degree/pre-licensure level.
- An unrestricted Massachusetts RN license or eligibility for Massachusetts RN licensure.
- Current CPR Certification.
