LPN Faculty, WATC
Job Summary
PN faculty accept, first and foremost, the responsibility of maintaining high standards of quality nursing education. PN faculty members are members of the University faculty at large, with all the rights, freedoms, privileges, and responsibilities of every other faculty member. WATC PN faculty teach high school juniors and seniors and play a crucial role in bridging the gap between high school and college-level healthcare education.
Minimum Qualifications
- Holds a current license as a registered nurse in the State of Arkansas.
- Hold a minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing.
- Have experience in clinical nursing practice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborates with peers and the Executive Director of Allied Health and WATC-Health about development, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum.
- Maintains high academic standards by adhering to standards established by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
- Participates in didactic and clinical instruction as assigned.
- Participates in academic counseling, meetings, faculty/student/program evaluation, recruitment and retention of students.
- Uses appropriate instructional resources to facilitate student progress.
- Maintains appropriate records regarding student evaluation and progress.
- Furnishes evidence of current CPR certification, immunizations, and TB skin test annually.
Salary: $55,000. Full consideration for applications received by July 1, 2026.
