Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include establishing and maintaining a successful and externally funded research program. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring needs of the department as needed and provide service to the institution and profession.

Minimum Experience / Education

UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.

Preferred Education Skills and Experience

Preferred qualifications include a record of relevant publications, teaching and/or mentoring experience, and potential for establishing an internationally recognized, federally funded research program in materials synthesis. Experience with data-driven and AI/machine learning methods to guide or enhance synthetic research objectives is desirable.
