Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Eligible candidates must have a doctoral degree in epidemiology or a related field by August 2026. Applicants must be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health and Health Administration. Assistant Professor candidates are expected to present evidence of promise for contributing to the Department's research portfolio, obtaining external research funding, and teaching across the BSPH, MPH, and PhD degree programs.

Minimum Experience / Education:

UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.

Preferred Education Skills and Experience:

Preferred candidates will have an MPH. The extent to which the candidate can contribute to the mission and vision of the Department will be considered. Candidates from all areas of Epidemiology will be considered. Applicants with research experience in cancer and other chronic diseases, infectious diseases, maternal and child health, health disparities, sexually transmitted diseases, and advanced epidemiologic methods, such as causal inference, are particularly encouraged to apply.
