The Public Safety Wellness Tenure-Track Faculty/Coordinator coordinates the development, implementation, and evaluation of wellness curriculum and initiatives within the Fire Technology Department... This assignment may require teaching off-site in classroom, lab, fitness/wellness, and fire training environments...

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications
(Applicants must meet one of the following):
- Master's degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science...
OR Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND Master's degree in any life science...
OR Possess a valid California Community College credential...
OR The equivalent...
AND Candidate must demonstrate clear evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students...

Desirable Qualifications
- Possession of a nationally recognized certification related to health & fitness...
- Professional experience working with, teaching, or coaching public safety populations...
- Experience teaching wellness, fitness, or public safety-related coursework.
- Experience developing curriculum in wellness, human performance...
- Experience coordinating programs, projects, or training...
